Recently, the Projek Kasih charity fundraising gala, jointly organised by Ain Society and Mediacorp, was broadcast live from The Theatre at Mediacorp Campus. This year marked the 11th edition of the Project Kasih and Guest Of Honour is Madam Halimah Yacob, Former Singapore President and Patron of Ain Society.
The entire evening featured performances by local Malay artists, who took turns presenting vocal performances, dances, and traditional Malay drumming. Every song and performance conveyed a message of care and compassion, calling on the public to support those in need. Interwoven throughout the programme were stories and interviews with families of cancer patients, helping the audience understand and support the charity concert on an emotional level. A young child representative also delivered a short speech encouraging donations, which was met with warm applause.

When Dr Haji Md Ismail Ain Society CEO and Bambang Sumariyano Bin Ali Ain Society President came on stage to take photographs with donors, the atmosphere became even more uplifting. Donation cheques ranging from S$10,000 to S$30,000 and S$80,000 were presented one after another. The moment that drew the loudest applause came when local dance philanthropist Ms Aleena Tan ( Tan Moi Leng ) Director Of Sunny Low Dance Production Studio stepped onto the stage to present a cheque for S$262,000. As a Chinese Singaporean supporter of the cause, her generous contribution stood out and moved the audiences.

The total amount raised at the end of the programme exceeded S$1.179.928 from both on-site and off-site audiences.

The gala was co-hosted by Mediacorp Malay presenters Fadli Kamasni and Marina Yusoff, who guided the programme with warmth and professionalism. They also encouraged the audience to share information about the event through their social media networks, helping to spread awareness of the charity initiative. The hosts warmly posed for photographs with guests at the venue.

Two young cancer patients featured in the programme were both only 11 years old. A senior accompanying them shared that, with the support of Projek Kasih, the children’s medical conditions had shown significant improvement.

Ms Aleena Tan, the dance philanthropist, was highly respected at the event. She shared that she has supported Projek Kasih for the past four years, with her cumulative donations over the years amounting to S$1 million. She organised Singapore International Charity Dance Championships to support this Malay-led initiative in solidarity with the cause.
